If there's a single trend in how to grow wine grapes, it's Biodynamics. To date, there are over 400 Biodynamic® Wine producers worldwide who are eliminating pesticides, synthetic sprays and chemical additives from their winemaking process.
At its most basic, the Biodynamic® approach to grape-growing sees the vineyard as an ecological whole: not just rows of grapevines, but the soil beneath them—an organism in its own right—and the other flora and fauna in the area, growing together interdependently.
It starts in the soil long before it meets the swirling, sniffing and slurping. More and more wineries are engaging in responsible farming these days. That’s great news for everyone, but can get a bit confusing for the wine drinker - that's why we are here!
